Why is it important for my child to go to preschool?
Research shows that children who attend an early learning program are much more successful in school and in life. A successful early learning experience sets the tone for a child's education.
What will my child do in childcare?
Your child will participate in array of activities that are engaging and fun. Your child will be provided with opportunities to discover who they are and learn how to interact and care for others. We believe kids learn best through play and have provided a safe atmosphere for them to explore in nature and have unique experiences.
What will my child learn at preschool?
Our preschool program has a balance of indoor and outdoor play. The environment is rich with materials and activities that are developmentally appropriate. Our curriculum provides a balance of structured activities and activities of the child's choice. It incorporates 35 research-based skills into playful games and discovery projects.
How secure is your facility?
We provide a very safe and secure environment. Entry and exit doors are locked at all times. Visitors must ring a doorbell and be invited in by a member of the leadership team. Parents and staff are provided with a secure door code.
What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday through Friday from 7:00am-6:00pm. School starts at 9:00am and ends at 3:00pm. All children should be in their classrooms by 8:45am. Archer Academy offers extended hours beyond the traditional school times included in tuition.
How will I know what kind of day my child had?
Archer Academy has partnered with Brightwheel to enhance the experience for our families. Brightwheel is the leading early education software app that enables seamless parent/teacher communication, photo and video sharing, and contactless check in and out.
Do you accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions?
Allergy charts are posted for awareness. If the child’s physician prescribes an Epi Pen, parents are responsible for providing this in a zip lock bag with the child’s first and last name clearly labeled, as well as the medication’s expiration date. The Epi Pen will be stored in the classroom emergency bag, 5 feet above the floor in a visible location. If the child’s allergy status changes, parents must notify the staff and Director of these changes and update the child’s posted allergy sheet in the classroom.
